Description
PCR technology is currently applied in many fields. For this technology, a thermal cycler is indispensable. Takara Bio has launched the Thermal Cycler Dice series and recently added the new Dice mini to the series. The Dice mini will become a standard among personal-type 24-well block thermal cycler systems.
Features
- The program link function, which runs programs in numerical order if program names are the same and “# number” is entered at the end of the names, enables a complex array of conditions to be set.
- Up to 22 user names can be registered and up to 200 programs can be stored.
- Programming is easy thanks to a graphical user interface.
- Operation is simple by utilizing the pop up menu and alphanumeric key input method, the same that is adopted in cellular-phone.
- Thanks to the eight kinds of preinstalled protocols (PCR program), PCR reaction can be started easily.
- Heat interference between equipments is reduced by absorption from front and sides, and back gas exhaustion.
- Extension time function: Suitable for long PCR
- Extension temperature function: Allows touch down PCR
- Space-saving design for personal use. The Dice mini is narrower in width compared to conventional standard systems, saving space on the benchtop (TP600/TP650: 260 mm in width ; TP100: 210 mm in width).
