Description
pAUR316 is a shuttle vector including AMA1, which can replicate autonomously in Aspergillus nidulans. This vector contains ampicillin resistant gene (AmpR) as selective marker for E. coli and Aureobasidin A-resistant gene (aurAR) as selective marker for A. nidulans. The restriction endonuclease sites of BamH I, Aor51H I, Afl II, Bgl II and Sse8387 I can be used as a cloning site.

-
Contains over 60% double-stranded covalently closed circular form I (RF I) DNA.
Shown to retain cloning site by dideoxy sequence method.
Shown to be cleaved at a single site by restriction enzymes specific to these sites.
Intended usage
This is a vector for transformation of A. nidulans using antibiotic Aureobasidin A. It is maintained as a plasmid in fungi.
