Description
pAUR101 is a chromosomal integrating vector for Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This vector does not replicate autonomously in yeast, and is maintained in yeast cells only when integrated into chromosome by recombination. This vector has a novel drug-resistant selective marker, AUR1-C gene, which is a mutant gene derived from S. cerevisiae and confers Aureobasidin A-resistance on yeast cells. The vector linearized by cutting at a single restriction enzyme site (BstP I, EcoO65 I, BsiW I or Stu I) in the ORF of AUR1-C gene is efficiently integrated in aur1 gane region on S. cerevisiae chromosome.
