There is a constant need for faster, more efficient purification processes for proteomics workflows. Capturem is a new technology that consists of a porous, 3D high-capacity membrane that is functionalized with proteases (e.g., trypsin or pepsin) as well as other ligands such as Protein A and G, Nickel-NTA, streptavidin, etc. The functionalized membranes are assembled in different spin column formats and multiwell plates to allow for rapid protein purification, enrichment, labeling, or digestion. Capturem Protein A or Protein G membranes will significantly shorten your antibody purification, immunoprecipitation (IP) and co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) experiments. For fast protein and antibody digestion, trypsin- and pepsin-functionalized membranes quickly and easily prepare your samples for downstream analysis. We've even adapted it for purification of extracellular vesicles (EVs), avoiding the use of a time-consuming ultracentrifugation step.
Because there is no incubation step, the protein digestion or purification is incredibly fast, while yielding an exceptionally high purity. The eluate is already concentrated, so you can use the proteins, antibodies, or EVs directly in your downstream applications with no extra enrichment steps needed!
